A lot of Swedes have the latest iPhone, fast internet, fashion, societal values or diets.\u00a0Reason: no one wants to be seen as outdated and not following the crowd. If everyone is going for the new, so do you.<\/p>\n

Another reason why the eye contact avoiding Swedes were so quick to adapt smartphones might be, because they were a good excuse to avoid\u00a0eye contact with others while\u00a0sitting on the tunnelbana<\/em> or waiting for the bus.<\/p>
