The journalist Kenneth Gehrman, who writes book reviews and about culture in general, told me he&#8217;d have a look.<\/p>\n<p>A few days later, he replied to a mail, saying that he&#8217;d like to interview me the next day.&nbsp;I got very excited! And of course a bit nervous.<\/p>\n<h2>Getting interviewed at Sm\u00e5landsposten (SMP)<\/h2>\n<p>The next day, I went to Sm\u00e5landsposten where the friendly photographer Lena Gunnarsson with her intern Klara welcomed me and asked for a photo. We went outside, and she took several pictures of me with the fassade of Sm\u00e5landspostens office as backdrop.<\/p><div id=\"hejsw-3760350780\" class=\"hejsw-content-sfa-desktop-and-tablet-1 hejsw-entity-placement\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3eu3RS1\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Book about Sweden - How to be Swedish\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hejsweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/HtbS-ad-main-220420-1-1.png\" alt=\"Book about Sweden - How to be Swedish\"  srcset=\"https:\/\/hejsweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/HtbS-ad-main-220420-1-1.png 900w, https:\/\/hejsweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/HtbS-ad-main-220420-1-1-800x600.png 800w, https:\/\/hejsweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/HtbS-ad-main-220420-1-1-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/hejsweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/HtbS-ad-main-220420-1-1-768x576.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" class=\"no-lazyload\" width=\"900\" height=\"675\"   \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Back inside, I followed Kenneth to a small room where he started the about 30 to 45 minute long interview about me, my decisions why I came to Sweden, impressions of the Swedish culture and of course my book, <a href=\"https:\/\/howtobeswedish.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">How to be Swedish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the interview, I actually wasn&#8217;t as nervous as I thought I would. It went well, maybe because the questions I got asked were very similar to those my other Swedish friends regularly ask me. <em>Why did you come to Sweden? What is different in Sweden? What do you like and what not? &#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It felt great to get the opportunity to share my story with Kenneth and through him and Sm\u00e5landsposten with all their readers.<\/p>\n<h3>That feeling, when you cover a whole page in a popular newspaper<\/h3>\n<p>On Monday, when I noticed the article was published &#8211; a friend sent me a photo&nbsp;of it &#8211; &nbsp;I quickly went through the article, since I didn&#8217;t know in advance what had been written.<\/p>\n<p>I really like the article! I read it today in the newspaper. Really great!&#8221; This made me extremely glad! She noticed me from before, but of course she only knows your face and what your buying. Suddenly she knew a big part of my story, my feelings for the country and my plans for the future.<\/p>\n<p>During the walk to my office I had a very big smile on my face. :D<\/p>\n<h3>Happy day<\/h3>\n<p>The whole day I received so many&nbsp;positive comments and feedback from my friends.
