Here’s how to best meet Swedish women, and how single Swedish women flirt.
Keep the following in mind if you’d like to get to know a Swedish woman better:
1. She can pay for her own drink
You can buy her a drink once you’ve built up a bit of a connection or have been chatting for a while. (Watch out, alcohol prices are steep! ;) ) She’s unlikely to hold it against you if you don’t buy her a drink. And if she does accept, expect her to return the favour and get the next round.

2. Under no circumstances tell her “You look good”
…especially not when you’ve only just met.
She’ll most likely feel reduced to her appearance, when she’d usually much rather be seen as a likeable person. “You look good” roughly translates to “My interest in you is purely superficial.”
3. Don’t stare!
Eye contact is held for a shorter time in Sweden than in most other countries around the world. Particularly when you haven’t talked to the girl yet. Exchanging quick glances is fine.
4. Get familiar with the concept of “kvart i två-ragg”
Those looking for some cosy company for the night show up on the dance floor right on time for kvart i två-ragg (“the quarter-to-two pick-up”) to see what the rest of the evening has to offer. So head to the dance floor fifteen minutes before the club closes. That’s when a Swedish lady might just pick out her “prey.”
Bonus info: You don’t really need to be able to dance. Wiggling more or less in time to the beat is enough. That’s what the Swedes do too.
5. “I’m so drunk”
If a Swedish woman says this after you’ve been talking for a while, while looking you deeply in the eyes (rather than swaying and staring at the floor), it often means she’ll excuse any “silly things” she gets up to with you the next day with “Well, I was so drunk.”
This is not to confuse with her saying “I’m so drunk” while staring on the floor. In which case you bring her a bucket rather than offering bringing her home.
Note: However relaxed things may be, in Sweden, as everywhere, a no means no!
